Dr. O’Brien grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and, despite a lifetime of disappointment, remains an avid Browns fan. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University in 2001.
Over the past 24 years, Dr. O’Brien has had the privilege of treating over 100,000 patients and performing over 10,000 surgeries. He has worked at Ohio ENT and Allergy Physicians for his entire career and looks forward to another 20 years of service to his patients. He believes his experience as a busy but thoughtful physician/surgeon offers unique value to his patients and their families. Dr. O’Brien is a board-certified ENT (otolaryngologist) and treats a wide variety of common and uncommon ear, nose, and throat conditions in children and adults.
Dr. O’Brien and his wife, Autumn, a local pediatrician, are eager to “tag along” as their 4 young adult children launch into life. If he is not in the office, operating room, or with family, you will most likely find Dr. O’Brien running along the Scioto and Olentangy trails, futilely attempting to fend off the slow but inevitable advance of Father Time. Look for him if you are tailgating at OSU, Notre Dame, Michigan (don’t ask), or Wisconsin (he’s OK with asking about this one) college football games this fall.
