Dr. Goebel is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. She studied biology and chemistry at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. After attending medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, she returned to Ohio and went to the University of Cincinnati for Internal Medicine residency training and then completed her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Goebel has a particular interest in environmental and food allergies, asthma, and eczema. She lives in Columbus with her husband and three young children. They enjoy visiting the numerous Metro Parks in the area as well as cheering on the Buckeyes in football, basketball, and soccer.
